Nahla
Nahla is diagnosed with TBL1XR1 gene variant, so we are presented with a host of unknowns as this is such a rare syndrome. What we do know is that she has intellectual delay, is on the autism spectrum, has ADHD, and a few other challenges. New challenges, I’m sure, will present themselves as she gets older . . . and we are ready!
Therapy is our friend. She is in speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, adaptive PE, ABA therapy, swim lessons, and is in a special day class at her school.
With that, she is a healthy, happy girl, who loves attention, and also loves to eat all fruit and vegetables! Nahla is 10 years old. She has a unique sense of humor that only makes sense to her, so we often hear her laughing out loud which usually turns into giggling fits. What a joy it is to hear your child laugh! Nahla is very affectionate and enjoys hugs and snuggles from her family and is most excited when we are driving in the car and she’s singing to her favorite tune…loud!
