Serafina
Serafina was diagnosed with TBL1XR1 - related disorder though genetic testing when she was just shy of 2. When she was 6 months old we started noticing she was not able to sit up unassisted (or at all) and began our search for answers from there. She started physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech/feeding therapy at 7 months old and we haven’t stopped since! She is very slowly progressing so we know there is hope for her to one day crawl, walk, and talk.
Her tenacious personality helps as well since she is always working so hard in her therapies to improve her mobility and progress. She is a feisty, social butterfly that wants to do all the things other kids her age can do and she never stops trying. We are hopeful to find a treatment or cure one day for this disorder that has shaped Serafina and our family’s entire life.
